Apprenticeships

If this is your first year as an apprentice, welcome aboard. The first few months are all about finding your rhythm, learning the ropes, and settling into life at one of the most advanced metal fabricators in the world. You'll be paired with experienced tradesmen who'll show you how to nail the basics — the right way, from the start.

Once you've found your groove, we'll start giving you more freedom on production work. Every month, you'll take on more challenging jobs so you're constantly learning and levelling up — not just coasting through the years.

This is where things start getting serious (and a lot more fun). You'll begin working more independently, learning how to solve problems yourself before your mentors step in to fine-tune your work. These guys have decades of experience, so every bit of feedback is gold.

You'll also get hands-on with the most advanced (and expensive) tools that separate rookies from pros. You will be learning Advanced Welding patterns and techniques, Welding Different materials from steel, Stainless steel and alluminium and also learn how to use a manual oxy cutter, a skill that usually takes years to master. Don't worry, we'll have you cutting straighter than a laser in no time.

By now, you'll know your way around the workshop like a pro. You'll also be in your final year of TAFE, taking on complex parts and advanced fabrication jobs normally reserved for seasoned boilermakers. You'll work independently but never alone — our team's always there to give tips, tricks, and the occasional reality check.

We're so confident in our training that by the end of Year 3, you'll be trusted with critical production work and know the majority of parts we build in our fabrication division.
